Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting
The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting ® , held annually unites family and friends around the globe as they light candles for one hour to honor and remember children who have died at any age from any cause. The Northern Nevada Chapter will hold a formal service open to the public at the Discovery Fellowship Church located at 8755 Technology Way (South Meadows) in Reno, Nevada. The service will begin promptly at 7:00pm and will include poetry readings and live music. Votive candles will be provided for all attendees. Childrens names will be read by family members. Light refreshments will follow. December 17, 2008 - 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Annual Holiday Party for pediatric oncology families featuring dinner, beverages, craft activities, photobooth and more. PLUS! Each patient and sibling will receive a gift from Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves. The event will be held at the Mack Auditorium at Renown Medical Center.

AKF Kids Club evening with The Harlem Globetrotters. Registered Kids Club members are invited join us for the launch of this new program. We will be meeting at the UNR Joe Crowley Student Union for dinner after which, we will enjoy a spectacular performance by none other than The Harlem Globetrotters. All children MUST be registered by January 5, 2009 – sorry, no exceptions. January 21, 2009 – 6:30pm
Courage Together meeting. Peer support group meeting for children with cancer and their families. The meeting offers a professionally supervised environment for children and opportunity for adults to communicate openly, without children present, and meet other parents facing similar issues. Angel Kiss Foundation night at the Reno Bighorns. On this special night, the Reno Bighorns is inviting supporters of Angel Kiss to come watch some basketball and
support Angel Kiss Foundation at the same time. $10 seats will be available and a portion of the proceeds will go to Angel Kiss Foundation. Angel Kiss Foundation will be in attendance and will be honored at halftime by the Reno Bighorns. We hope to see you at the Events Center!! Reno-Tahoe Odyssey benefiting Angel Kiss Foundation. A relay run ideally suited for teams of 12 runners on a 178 mile course. Begin in Downtown Reno, along the Truckee River and travel through the Sierra Nevada Mountains and along the shores of Lake Tahoe, circling back through the northern Nevada high desert to where you began in Reno.
