Annual Appeal Letter

December 4, 2008

Dear Friend,

Raising a child is difficult.  It takes patience, commitment, dedication, love, nurture and tolerance.  Now, factor in frequent out of state travel, extended stays in hotels, time away from work, and the struggle to find time for other children and family members.  This is what it’s like to care for a child who is being treated for cancer.  These are the families who look to Angel Kiss Foundation, mostly for relief of stress and financial assistance, but at times, simply for a friendly voice.

For nearly nine years, Angel Kiss Foundation has been serving the needs of northern Nevada families affected by pediatric cancer.  The least of their worries are rent, utilities, food, school, pet care, etc.  Every last ounce of energy is reserved for their children, who are courageously fighting this horrific disease.  Angel Kiss exists to help families meet their daily financial obligations, allowing them to focus on caring for their sick children.

Your help is needed. In an average year, 78 families receive financial support from Angel Kiss Foundation.  Currently, each family is provided with up to $3,000 in aid per year. The number of families in need is increasing, forcing us to look beyond grants and public events to generate funding.

Please consider a donation to help families focus on what is most important…the care and comfort of their children. These children have a 77% chance of full recovery, which means your contribution is an investment in their futures.  Each and every dollar raised through Angel Kiss Foundation’s annual campaign goes directly to helping our local families meet their financial obligations.

We appreciate your consideration and look forward to keeping you posted on our ability to help local families.

Sincerely,
